Recognition: ScreenCraft 2024 Cinematic Short Story Competition

In the fall of last year, I was given clear instructions by Holy Spirit to finish writing my short stories, books, and screenplays. For years, I’ve been writing short stories, books, and screenplays…and for years they’ve just been sitting and waiting to be finished on my laptop. Due to my family caregiving duties over the years, I didn’t always have the time (or the energy) to go back and finish my writings. However in the fall of last year, I literally wrote every single day for hours at a time. I was in a prophetic writing flow. I could literally hear the words that Holy Spirit wanted me to write as I typed them. After 30+ days of nonstop writing, I finished everything that I was supposed to finish writing at that time.

This led me to finishing a short story for “Enough Is Enough”. Back in 2020, after my team and I released the “Enough Is Enough song and advocacy music video, God gave me a vision for a short story/movie version of “Enough Is Enough”. I started writing it, and then never revisited it or finished it…until the fall of last year. After I finished it, I decided to enter it into Screencraft’s Cinematic Short Story competition. (Screencraft is a company that hosts writing and filmmaking competitions and many writers, authors, screenwriters, and filmmakers have been discovered, signed with agents and had their books/stories turned into movies, TV shows, or documentaries through their competitions.)

Earlier this year, my “Enough Is Enough” cinematic short story was selected as a semifinalist (out of close to 600 submissions🤯) in Screencraft’s 2024 Cinematic Short Story Competition🥳🎉

Although I didn't make it to the finalist level in this compeition, I am very grateful to God that my short story received recognition as a semifinalist: https://screencraft.org/blog/2024-screencraft-cinematic-short-story-competition-semifinalists/
