A Prophetic Warning Dream

ree

I don’t normally share what God shows me prophetically in dreams, but I felt such a strong urge to share this dream that I had last night.

In this dream, I found myself in a public space in what felt like a strip mall or public shopping area. Everything around me was bright, shiny, and enticing. There were beautiful displays in the windows of these stores and the workers of these stores were inviting people to come in and try their products and have an experience in their stores. On the surface, everything appeared to be innocent and harmless. I went in and out of stores, experiencing what seemed to be good and wonderful things.

Then suddenly, everything shifted. The scenes were pitch black and I was completely in the dark. All the bright, shiny displays and everything that had looked so appealing was stripped away. Then I saw what they were really covering up, and it was dark, demonic, evil, and disturbing. I heard loud demonic sounds that were deeply unsettling, and I immediately covered my ears and ran out of the place. When I woke up, I immediately started praying.

What the Lord revealed to me through this dream is a warning:

Not everything that appears good, godly, positive, pleasant, or appealing is what it seems. Some things are “smoke and mirrors”. We are living in a time where we must test every spirit by the Holy Spirit, no matter how good, godly, or even “Christian” someone or something may appear. Before you come into agreement with someone or something, whether it’s online or in person, or before you connect to or join something that appears to be “good” or “godly”, ask God to show you the spirit behind what you are seeing or what is being shown to you. We also must inspect and look at everything and everyone by the fruit that they produce.

SCRIPTURES:

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for sour.”

Isaiah 5:20

“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

1 John 4:1

“By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?”

Matthew 7:16
